The Museum Rietberg Zürich is a success story. It is an important art museum in Switzerland displaying art created by non-European cultures. The museum is home to an internationally acclaimed collection of works from Asia, Africa, the Amercas and Oceania. In February 2007, the annex "Baldachine von Smaragd" ("Canopies of Emerald") was inaugurated. A glass pavillion with two subterranean exhibition halls covering over 2,000 sq meters has doubled the exhibition space. New airy and tall rooms guarantee that viewing is a pure pleasure. Our tip: The new Show Depot, which displays all the exhibits of the museum, is now permanently accessible.
